Dedicated to serving those in need, we focus on empowering African communities through essential support.

Founded in Cavan, Ireland, the Cavan Famine & Aids Appeal for Africa operates as a registered charity, committed to alleviating suffering through financial support for critical services. By channeling resources to three distinguished Christian charities across Nigeria, Kenya, and Zambia, we aim to improve the quality of life for vulnerable populations. Our activities are grounded in transparency and accountability, ensuring that every contribution makes an impactful difference.

We pride ourselves on being a grassroots initiative that champions humanitarian efforts through direct financial assistance and community-focused projects. Partnering with trusted organisations, we strive to alleviate poverty and improve health and education standards in Africa. Our unwavering commitment makes us a trusted ally in the fight against poverty.

Our Journey

A Legacy of Compassion and Support for Africa

The Cavan Famine & Aids Appeal for Africa was established in response to the urgent need for support amidst poverty and disease on the continent. Since its inception, we have witnessed remarkable transformations achieved through fundraising endeavours, primarily sourced from local communities and church collections. Our partnerships with Christian organisations in Africa, namely the Holy Rosary Sisters, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, and Fr James Connolly, have enabled us to deliver direct assistance effectively. We remain steadfast in our mission, driven by compassion and a desire to make a lasting impact.
